John
Deere Agricultural
Equipment

For
over a decade, CMCI has been working with John Deere to
help create the cosmetic and mechanical components of
their world class agricultural products. Clay
Martin spent over two years as an onsite consultant to
Deere in the late 1990's and has continued to offer
modeling and design support ever since. CMCI now
works primarily with partner, Surfacing Solutions, on all John Deere
projects. Surfacing Solutions is located near the John
Deere Product Engineering Center in Waterloo,
IA.
CMCI
has been involved in Class A surface development for
multiple tractor engine enclosures (hoods, side panels),
fender and roof designs, interior consoles and
upholstery pieces. In addition, CMCI has
developed solid, feature based models for virtually
every fabrication process Deere utilizes. Together
with Surfacing Solutions, CMCI has pioneered the
utilization of native, feature based Pro/E geometry for
complex, highly aesthetic applications. They have
done this not only for Deere, but for a number of high
profile clients worldwide.
From plastic
molding processes such as injection molding, compression
molding, blow molding and rotomolding to metal molding
processes such as die cast, sand cast, forging, and lost foam
molding, CMCI has the experience and expertise to create fully
detailed CAD designs, ready for tooling.
